The Awareness Art Ensemble or AAE as they are known by their legion of fans started as a Spoken Word/Poetry ensemble in Petersburg, Va. circa 1978.The brainchild of founding member Olamina and with the support of keyboardist Ojuleba, AAE grew to be one of the most popular stateside reggae band. With it's original music Awareness continues to draw fans of all ages and all walks of life.
